We are thankful for all those in Church History who formed, studied, subscribed to, and preserved the 1689 Confession through out the generations. We pray that 1689.com will honor the legacy of these Godly men and women, and most chiefly: glorify the True & Living God of the Holy Scriptures.
In the Year 1998, the domain 1689.com was registered by Walter Oritz for the purposes of promoting the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith and related resources for Reformed Baptist Christians.
The original website that Walter constructed is preserved on this legacy website archive.
In the Year 2022, the next-generation 1689.com website was launched, with the goal of expanding to become an online platform for Reformed Baptists worldwide. The website was launched as part of a collective effort of Reformed Baptists, who will oversee 1689.com going forward into the future.
Our Future
It is our prayer that future generations of Reformed Baptists will be blessed by this website, and the information, resources, tools, and the global community that 1689.com provides and facilitates.
We seek to enable the planting of churches, support the missions of missionaries, and connect those who hold to this confession with both local and global communities of fellow Reformed Baptists.
